How much weight can a 1985 Toyota 4Runner roof fiberglass take?
I want to ride long Heavy Duty roof rack for my 4Runner, but need to know how much weight the roof fiberglass may be, also what is the best method of assembling the roof? Should I use the rails or something to screw for the roof or both?? Thank you
Although I can not tell you the exact weight it can handle, but I can tell you that I returned my 86 Runner 3 1 / 2 times on the side of a mountain and the vault was the only thing that was still in good shape, except for glass course. I rack NWOR mounted on my 87 Runner right now and we lock through the roof itself. Ive had a heavy oak desk in the office upstairs and various other things, but it has yet to crack.
